Never get lost again with a TomTom worldwide situating framework (GPS) gadget, intended to show you your area and offer you turn-by-turn driving guidelines. Updates to the TomTom programming and GPS maps are intermittently made accessible to fix bugs and update street changes. Such updates are accessible for nothing to TomTom clients.

Step:1
Launch the TomTom HOME software, found in your Mac's "Applications" folder or in your Windows "Start" menu. If you don't have TomTom HOME installed, download and install it for free from TomTom's official Web page.

Step:2
Connect your TomTom device to your computer. Connection methods vary by device. Typically, use your device's included syncing cable attached to an open USB port on your computer. If you are unsure, consult your device's user manual.

Step3
Press the gray "Update my device" icon at the top of the TomTom HOME software screen. The software will connect with TomTom's online server to see if your device's software and maps need an update. A list of any applicable updates will be displayed.

Step4
Click "Update and Install." The software will automatically download and install the updates to your TomTom device. Wait for the TomTom HOME software to complete the installation process before proceeding.

Step5
Disconnect your device. Click "Devices" in the top of the TomTom Home screen and select "Disconnect Device" from the drop-down menu. Unplug the device from its syncing cable and resume use.
